Graduation Requirements

To Parents and Guardians of 2011 AHA graduates:

This letter to provide you with very important information about the graduation requirements that face your student.

As you know, the Leadership component of our curriculum is a critical part of our commitment to creating “ Tomorrow’s Heroes Today.” This year, we have changed our graduation requirements to reflect this commitment.

Your student is required to complete a “Leadership Project” during this school year in order to meet AHA graduation standards. This project will have the students demonstrating their leadership skills they have learned, in the community. The projects may include leadership efforts in a church or other non-profit organization. They may also include attending and participating in Town Council meetings, Scouts or other service organizations. Please read the enclosed information, and call me if there are any questions.

Please keep in mind that graduates are required to successfully complete the Board of Review Process. The students are responsible for knowing the “28 Principles” the Declaration of Independence, the Articles and Amendments of the Constitution, a Poem, a Shakespeare play, two pieces of Classic literature. Students will have received instruction in these required areas in class during their Junior and Senior year.

Please call me if you have any questions about the above, and please support your student in learning and preparing for these graduation requirements.

Thank you.
