National Read Across America Day-March 1
Elementary classes had a blast participating in "National Read Across America Day".  They started the day with an assembly promoting literacy then LOTS of reading activites throughout the day.
The 1st grade class celebrated by enjoying some green eggs and ham.

POETRY PLAYOFF (2-17-10)
Our annual Poetry All-Star day was another big hit, starting with the elementary teachers and that "Amazing Astro Cow" to 3rd grades "Jabberwocky", kindergarten fairies to U.S. History and the Gettysburg Address.  And of course everything in between. Thank you and congratulations to our awesome staff and students.  JOB WELL DONE!!!!

Scripps National Spelling Bee(1-20-2010)

Can you spell 'amazing'?  A-M-A-Z-I-N-G=OUR STUDENTS.
Congratulations to our top notch students from both American Heritage Academy campuses.  Classroom spelling winners competed in the A.H.A. district spelling bee.
District winner:  Phoebe Chilton 5th grade- Cottonwood Campus 
Runner-up:  Brent Miller  6th grade-Camp Verde Campus
3rd Place:  Trace Cooley 3rd grade-Camp Verde Campus.
These awesome students will travel to Prescott for the County Spelling Bee in February.  Congratulations and Good Luck!!!!
