In keeping with American Heritage Academy's philosophy of Community Service, several classes will be helping out the Salvation Army's efforts to help, with the needs of the local community, by being Bell Ringers on Tuesdays in December.

The first date was December 1st. The next dates will be December 8th, and 15th.

Classes station students and teachers at both of the Camp Verde Basha's doors, where the students sing Christmas Carols to the patrons. The locals are very appreciative of the effort the students make, and in turn are very generous with their donations to help those in need.

The following picutres are from our Camp Verde Balloon Launch as part of a five year on-going science project. This is the first year for our Camp Verde campus to participate in the project.

The project is studying the pattern of wind currents in the Verde Valley at different times of the year, and from year to year. So far this year, the Camp Verde campus has had balloons returned from Camp Verde, Village of Oak Creek, Mormon Mtn. (found by an elk humter up form Tucson) and the Homolovi Ruins, north of Winslow, about 97 miles from the Academy!
